Charity Project Rising Sun
This project was organized by Tempei Nakamura, together with other artists. Maximum seismic intensity of M.9.0 severe earthquakes hit the Tohoku region; from the Great East Japan Earthquake that giant tsunami engulfed the town and beach. One and a half year had passed on 11 Sep 2012. As of 10 Sep, 15 870 people dead, 2814 people still missing. 343 000 people have been forced to take shelter in temporary housing and 128,000 people are still searching for jobs in the affected areas, the infancy is a full-fledged reconstruction toward rebuilding their lives. Population transfer and maintenance issues and communities abound. Many victims feel they have an uncertain future and live in a constant state of anxiety. There is still much basic reconstruction to be done. Tempei has been working to support the victims of the Japanese earthquake. He has visited the disaster-stricken area to give charity concerts over the past one and a half years, and he has seen many places where people have lost everything in the TSUNAMI. They need musical instruments, particularly pianos, so Tempei has been working to send pianos that have been donated, to orphanages, shelters and schools where they can use music as a form of much needed therapy for distressed and displaced people.
I'd like to say huge thank you to Tempei, sponsors, concert staffs, all
visitors and all people who helps for this project again. Because we couldn't
success the concert without your support.
